Climbing & Quilting can be balanced

On Monday and Tuesday I decided to take some time off, to clear my head and let new creativity in and inspiration take me to new places and ideas for quilting. What better way to do this while climbing. Not only is exercise healthy... no it is loads of fun too and provides great opportunities.

On Monday I was climbing at The Hangout gym in Perth, which was great. On Tuesday I went outdoors to Churchman's Brook near Roleystone a suburb in Perth's Hills. Beautiful day with sunny conditions and not too hot, just right. Climbing outdoors is very different to the gym and provides more challenges but also great photo opportunities... who knows I might just create a portrait quilt from one of the pictures taken... one day :-)

Best thing of all was that when I got home there was still plenty of time to quilt the already loaded project on my Handi Quilter Avante' 18... how much better can life get hm? ;-) I will show you the latest project once it is finished.... still a little bit more to go.

For now here are some pics from the climbs of both days.... enjoy!
